Trouble Losing Weight?Tried it all and still can’t lose weight? Even a healthy diet like the coconut oil diet hasn’t done much for you? Then there’s a good chance you are not exercising in a way that burns fat (or you’re not exercising at all).

Like it or not, it takes a change to a good healthy diet AND a change in the way you exercise to permanently lose weight. The good news is that I found the best way to exercise to burn fat! And you don’t have to spend hours at the gym, hours out walk or running, or hours at home playing exercise DVD’s.

You see, despite what we’ve been told, hours of cardio exercises every week or even every day won’t burn the fat away very efficiently. How many women do you know that walk for hours every day, or spend hours and hours at the gym doing aerobic exercises and their body never changes?

The reason for this is because aerobic exercise burns calories only while you are exercising. It can be healthy to do some of these activities, but it’s not an effective way to burn fat and lose weight, because it doesn’t increase your muscle mass. Muscles are the engines that burn fat in the body, and when they get into a fat burning phase, your muscles will do it all the time, even when you are sitting at the computer at work, or sleeping at night. That’s the place you need to get to lose weight.

It goes back to how our bodies were designed to work. Our ancestors didn’t have all the weight problems and obesity we have now, and they didn’t spend hours in the gym working out. It is true that our modern food is working against us, with all the unnatural unhealthy foods we are constantly offered as options to eat, but we also don’t use our bodies they way people have for centuries.

In the past people spent a lot of time doing generally working at a slow pace. Perhaps they were walking to where they were going, farming, or working around their home. But when they needed to do something, like hunt, they were able to utilize their power and energy at its highest peak for short periods of time to do this.

Exercising too much? The body is not designed to work for long periods of time at a high energy usage. (Only a very few people can do this, like Lance Armstrong.) For most of us, the body adapts to everyday activity, working toward saving energy and burning a minimal amount of calories. It takes short bursts of intense energy usage to get the body to change.

The right kind of exercise to build muscle and burn fat should be the kind of exercise that breaks the muscle down, and draws intense energy from us. When the muscles break down, they body works to repair them, but it overcompensates by making those muscles stronger than they were before. This is called a catabolic adaptive response. And these newly repaired stronger muscles are the ones that burn fat.

This repairing process happens when we are at rest and recuperating from our exercise session. Recuperation is the key to muscle growth.

Where people are getting exercise wrong is when they exercise too much and too hard, and don’t give the body the time to recuperate and repair itself, or they are exercising at a level that just maintains the muscles where they are at, so they don’t grow and they don’t burn fat.

Exercising too much releases catabolic hormones. They body feels itself getting depleted and wants you to stop, so it sends the negative feeling hormones like cortisol out, and depletes the feel good hormones like serotonin, making you feel bad so you don’t want to exercise. Training too often is very counterproductive. It makes you feel bad and want to quit the program. That’s why so many people are unable to stay with an exercise routine.

The best way to exercise is to do the least amount of work you need to do to create the natural adaptive response that makes the body rebuild itself and improve. The best way is to do a very high intensity, but very short duration exercise for muscle breakdown, very much like our ancestors did.  This kind of exercise can be done in as little as 10 minutes or less, 3 times a week!  After this kind of exercise the muscles need at least a week to rest and rebuild, so types of exercises can be grouped together by different body groups, and done on different days. What I find awesome is that this kind of exercise releases the feel good hormones like serotonin into the body, making you feel good about what you have done so far and enthusiastic to do more!

If this all sounds like a lot to learn and figure out how to do, and I agree that it can be, I have a great solution for you. I found an exercise program that does just what we have been talking about. It’s all online, and comes with a personalized plan for you, whether you work out at the gym or work out at home with little or no equipment. The video instructions are simple, and the program can be done by anyone, no matter how in shape or out of shape you are. And best of all, the costs are minimal-- $1 to start and $10 a month!

It's called the 7 Minute Workout, and I’m so excited about it! It has really helped me get into the best shape of my life in only 7 minutes a day, 3 times a week. Plus, if you are interested in making a little extra money, it can also make a great health related home business.
